       Sixth Trento Summer School Intensive course in

  		 Co-Directors:
			 Larry Samuelson, University of Wisconsin Ken Binmore, University College, London

		Guest lecturers include
		Giovanni Dosi, SS Sant'Anna, Pisa; Dan Friedman, University of California, Santa Cruz; Peter Howitt, Brown University;
		Richard Nelson, Columbia University.
		 The VI Summer School will begin with the foundations of
			evolutionary game theory, including biological antecedents, static
			evolutionary equilibrium concepts, and dynamic models. Attention will then
			turn to the implications of evolutionary models for equilibrium selection,
			including the foundations of Nash equilibrium and equilibrium
			refinements. The school will examine the difference between short-run and
			longer-run models, and the links between the two, and the difference
			between normal-form and extensive-form models. Applications to a number of
			familiar games, such as bargaining games, will be explored. Finally,
			attention will turn to the evolutionary foundations of human preferences
			and behavior, with an eye toward understanding and explaining a number of
			seeming paradoxes in human behavior.
